One of the most important things I learned when beginning my journey consciously using the Law of Attraction in my life was to let go of the past.
So many of us carry around the baggage of our past, the emotional hurts, the scars, trial and tribulations of things that happened long ago.
Our past is of no consequence, it is done, it is over. Carrying around this baggage is holding us back from living life today!
Tomorrow is not here yet, the past is done and dusted all we have is TODAY and we must live in the present moment.
Many find it hard to let go of the past so I encourage those to use the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to help release negativity from our subconscious minds. It truly does work and helps liberate you from what you no longer have any control over, your past.
We are not here to be judged and lectured to, we are here in this lifetime to learn lessons and to enjoy living a full life.
People we meet on our journey through life came into our consciousness for a reason. Each of us learned a valuable lesson from our interactions. Whether it was a good or bad the relationship still served us to learn from each other.
We are not privy to the ins and outs, the ‘whys’ and ‘what fors’ of the interaction but it will all become clear in its own time.
There are no accidents in life, we draw people to us for a reason. If you seemed to attract the same type of person that frustrates you to no end, then you simply failed to learn the lesson!
There is no right or wrong here.
The most important thing is to keep moving forward, we cannot rewrite the past, the past doesn’t matter anymore.
What truly matters is today and moving forward on your path.

3 Tips to Move Forward with LOA Activated
1. Take Co-ownership of What Happened in your Past.
Understand that there were two of you in the situation or relationship and accept responsibility for your part in it. You are not blaming yourself here, there is no blame, just accept responsibility, it takes two to tango so to speak.
Look deep inside and think about your past and come to understand that there were patterns in your energy that attracted these people into your life. Most of us just drifted through life and allowed events to happen to us. This will change as you employ LOA consciously in your life.
2. Be Available to the Possibilities of the Present.
Your past baggage could create problems in the present by not allowing you to trust people due to past hurts. You hold back from fully engaging in life because of the past. Again this requires you to clear the past completely. If you live in the present moment be consciously aware of your actions, do you still hold yourself back from fully engaging in situations? If so you must work on the negative blocks that prevent you moving forward.
As one door closes another always opens up to you, be aware of these opportunities and keep moving forward. I cannot stress that enough.
I have one Facebook ‘friend’ I don’t know her very well at all but I see she posts often about being depressed and down in the dumps because of her past. She has so many blessings, a wonderful man in her life, two absolutely adorable babies and yet she feels a victim of her past.
Many women would change situations with her any day of the week but she is blind to her blessings and focuses on her issues from the past. She just loves playing the victim.
We cannot interfere in other people’s lives, we can try and guide them and help them but in reality they are the Captains of their own ship. And so it should be. We are each on our own journey through life and as such we cannot tell another what to do.
Those of you reading this page are enlightened ones, you are knowledgeable far beyond most people in that you are consciously trying to better yourself and to grow spiritually.
By sharing our experiences with the Law of Attraction we can encourage others to join us on our path to enlightenment.
3. Employ Visualization to Move Forward
One trick that really helped me move forward and to release long pent up emotions and negativity from the past was to employ visualization to past situations. It works wonders in ‘letting go.’
If you have known past hurts, write them all down on a piece of paper. What you will find as you work on this is deeply buried emotions will surface.
Take one situation and visualize what happened in your mind. Watch it without emotion, just like a movie sit back and watch it re-enact itself in your mind.
Now put an ending to it. Imagine yourself giving that person a big hug and saying I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you and let it go. It doesn’t matter who you feel was at fault just say those words with feeling and let it go.
Do this for all the events you wrote down and as more crop up do them too.
You should feel like a huge weight has been lifted from your shoulders.
The words, I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you and I love you, can be said in any order you feel is appropriate for you. They are the Hawaiian Ho’oponopono clearing words that will work wonders in your life to clear negativity and energy blockages in your subconscious mind. Say them often for all situations that frustrate you!
Clearing your energy of past issues is very liberating and will allow you to lead a more positive life, open to all new possibilities that will create abundance in your life.
